How many people out there have ever wanted to make a handle for coffee cup as much as I did? You never know when a handle might break which is why you need to be sure to have Mighty Putty on hand in the event of a catastrophic mug breaking!
All humor aside, I saw Billy Mays on an infomercial talking about Mighty Putty and thought I would give it a test to see exactly what this stuff was capable of and I had quite a few things around the house that I could use it on. A few things in my house were not working for me the way they were supposed to and I was ready to fix them with Mighty Putty.
I have two bathrooms in my house, both of which I had purchased matching towel holders, hand towel holders and toilet paper holders for. They were the kind that you attach to the wall with screws and I installed them when I first bought my home and didn’t know a thing about what I was doing. I have been here for 2 years and within the past month, most of them had fallen off of the wall because I didn’t use any of those screw inserts that expand in drywall to keep things firm to the wall.
I was already fed up with the aggravation of trying to secure them to the wall and thought that I would use Mighty Putty and bond them to the wall so that I didn’t have to deal with screwing them to the drywall again. These pieces are not heavy at all but it is more of a convenience thing rather than anything else.
The Mighty Putty comes as part of a package deal. You buy 1 set which consists of 2 sticks and you get 4 more sticks free. That is a total of 6 sticks of this stuff which you can use for years to fix things around the house.
In my case, I only needed half of one stick to do the jobs that I needed. I took the Mighty Putty out of the wrapper and molded it as instructed. It turns from green to white and when it turns white you can apply it to the surface that you are trying to repair. I formed it into a little ball and applied it to the back of each wall piece, applies and waited. 24 hours later I was able to hang towels, toilet paper and hand towels on them and they have been holding up ever since.
Mighty Putty will create a permanent bond on metal, glass, wood and any other surface. You can use it on crafts, furniture, pipes and faucets. As you can see in the video, you can even use it to repair coffee cups!
It will hold up to 350 pounds with ease and you can also use it to fill and seal any crack on any surface.
